Prior to joining FIT, Leonard Bess worked for such noted design houses as Christian Dior, John Anthony and J.G. Hook. He received his AAS from FIT and his BS from Empire State College.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, FASHION DESIGN
Andy Liu specializes in luxury and high-end fashion. He earned his BFA from FIT and a postgraduate degree from Institut Français de la Mode in Paris. Companies he worked for included Hermès, Lanvin, Christian Lacroix, and Façonnable. His personal research interest is in sustainable design such as adapting 3D-printed materials for apparel use and recycling energy through thermoregulatory or piezoelectric materials.

Caroline Berti earned her BFA and BA in Fashion Apparel Design at FIT and has over 14 years of experience as a designer and consultant specializing in women’s wear.
