Emily Foster
Fashion Merchandising Management '15
Emily Foster is a New Jersey native who began her career following graduation from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2015 with a BS in Fashion Merchandising Management. Upon graduation, she was offered a position with Macy’s Merchandising Group as assistant product development manager for Charter Club ready-to-wear and was quickly promoted to associate manager for Charter Club cashmere. With four years of industry experience, Emily returned to FIT to pursue an MPS degree from the Global Fashion Management program in the School of Graduate Studies, graduating in May 2021. She recently transitioned into the beauty industry as sales manager for Eyeko and Grow Gorgeous brands of the Hut Group. Exceeding her sales goals within one year, Emily assumed her current position as sales manager for subscription boxes across eight of the Hut Group’s owned beauty brands.
Sara Hogan
Global Fashion Management '21
Sara Hogan has worked in the fashion and retail industry for over ten years. She has an extensive background in managing teams and leading them to success in fashion related industries. After graduating with her master’s in Global Fashion Management from FIT, she obtained a new role working for a luxury handbag wholesaler in New York City as a merchandise manager. Sara hopes to one day own a business that incorporates technology to make great fashion more accessible for all.
Gabriela Maldonado
Global Fashion Management '21
Gabriela Maldonado is from Mexico City, and is a 2021 graduate of the Global Fashion Management master’s program. Gabriela has more than seven years of experience in designing inclusive social programs and events that included the planning and coordination of fashion shows for people with disabilities at major international fashion fairs. She assisted in developing a compliance regulations guide for inclusive product development for Mexican designers and helped consolidate a platform where designers, non-profit organizations, and industry executives promote inclusivity within the fashion industry.
