Amy Lemmon is a professor and the chairperson of the English Department at FIT. Amy is the recipient of a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2004-05) and the FIT Faculty Excellence Award (2015). She has had two poetry collections and numerous other poems, essays, and translations published. She earned an M.A. and PhD in English/Creative Writing from the University of Cincinnati and is the recipient of a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship and a Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and scholarships from the Vermont Studio Center, West Chester Poetry Conference, and Antioch Writers’ Workshop.
