Student Research Presented at SUNY Conference

In spring 2019, Nara Lee, Jewelry Design ‘19, Gemology Certificate, and Christy Conrad, Jewelry Design student, participated in the SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) at SUNY Farmingdale.  The conference drew 311 students from 25 SUNY and CUNY campuses to present posters and lecture in all academic disciplines.  The proposals were juried, and these two FIT students were selected.

SURC is a multidisciplinary spring semester event. It brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the state for a full day of activities, including student presentations (performance, artistic displays, and posters), keynote speakers, a graduate school and career fair, and professional development workshops. SURC is supported by the offices of the Chancellor, Provost, and Research Foundation, as well as SUNY student and faculty governance organizations. All undergraduate students engaged in research and their mentors across SUNY and CUNY are invited to attend regardless of academic field.
