Evelyn Rynkiewicz, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Ecology at FIT
Evelyn Rynkiewicz is an assistant professor of Ecology at FIT. Before coming to FIT, she earned her PhD from Indiana University and subsequently conducted research as a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Edinburgh (National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow) and Columbia University. At FIT, Evie teaches classes in ecology and biology. Her goal is to increase science literacy among non-science majors.
Saemi Jeon
Fashion Design ’21
Saemi is a Korean knitwear designer based in New York. She obtained a BFA in Fashion Design from FIT, specializing in knitwear and a minor in Ethics and Sustainability. She is interested in creating a bridge between fashion and sustainability.
Isabella Escarfullery
International Trade and Marketing ’22
Isabella is an International Trade and Marketing major based in Texas. Minoring in Ethics and Sustainability has allowed Isabella to analyze corporate social responsibility beyond the supply chain. She hopes to pursue environmental design to help underserved communities.
Chelsea Vigil
Home Products Development ’22
Chelsea is a Home Products Development major based in New York who has an interest in using innovative technologies and materials to create sustainable products. She minors in Ethics and Sustainability as well as French.
Idil Bayik
Fashion Design ’23
Idil is a Fashion Design major based in New York, minoring in Ethics and Sustainability and Economics. She is interested in pursuing a career both in biodesign and entrepreneurship to design sustainable, affordable products and help the environment recover.
