Purpose/Impact
The day of presentations explored avenues for collaboration between IBM and FIT. Presentations focused on three areas: using artificial intelligence to enhance consumer experiences, transforming supply chain management, logistics, and operation, and innovation in product design and development. The day concluded with breakout sessions to demo IBM’s Quantum Computing, Debater, and Visual Comprehension applications.
OUTCOMES/ACCOMPLISHMENTS
FIT faculty are working on a proposal to collaborate in two ways: using artificial intelligence in merchandising and bringing in IBM’s research for data analytics courses at FIT.
STATUS UPDATE
A second FIT IBM Day is planned for the spring semester. As faculty projects are approved, this information will be made available through the Innovation Kiosk.
