Robin Baxter
Assistant Professor, Fashion Business Management
Robin Baxter is an assistant professor and faculty advisor in Fashion Business Management, beginning as an adjunct in Fall of 2013. In 2017 she was promoted to full-time and served as chair of the new Fashion Business Management program at SUNY Korea. Robin has taught at LIM and The Parsons School of Design, and has held executive positions with various retailers in Chicago, Atlanta, and New Jersey in the areas of sales, merchandising, design, and corporate leadership. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University.
Sonja Chapman
Associate Professor, International Trade and Marketing and Associate Chair of Home Products Development
Sonja Chapman joined FIT as an adjunct in the International Trade and Marketing department in 2003, and moved to full-time in 2018. She has also built an extensive career as a fashion supply chain strategist, serving as the director of International Traffic and Customs Compliance at Golden Touch Imports. Her global experience includes teaching students from Moscow University and a visiting professor program in Bangkok. Chapman was appointed to the executive committee of the Cotton Board as the treasurer in 2018 and is now serving as the committee’s vice chair. She holds a Master of Science in the Business of Fashion from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from CUNY, and she earned her Customhouse Broker’s License in 1990.
